God has specific plans and purposes for each of us to fulfill in the earth realm and each person’s walk with God is unique and custom-catered to that individual. Conversely, there is nothing wrong with pursuing your own interests and you may discover that your interests may actually overlap with your God-given purpose without you even realizing it. Maybe you are blessed with the gift of financial acumen but up to this point you only exercised that gift in regard to your own personal gain. Maybe God intended you to utilize that gift on a broader scale to help build His kingdom in various ways through projects and investments that would fortify and help His people both corporately and individually. Any God-directed investment is a guaranteed win and sure to yield a return materially, spiritually, and most times, in both areas.

Proverbs 16:3-4 AMPC  ‘ Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed. The Lord has made everything [to accommodate itself and contribute] to its own end and His own purpose–even the wicked [are fitted for their role] for the day of calamity and evil.’

You cannot walk out someone else’s God-given purpose no matter how wonderful you think it looks or how wonderful you think it will make you look. You will either fail or be completely miserable during the process. Ask God to show you what your specific purpose is and what giftings He has placed inside of you. Then pay attention over the next few weeks for the answers. He may answer you in a dream like He did me. If the answer seems cryptic don’t worry. Sometimes He has to hide things in order to protect them to be revealed in the proper time and season.
