People Who Call Your Name for Evil

1 Corinthians 5:11 AMP  ‘ But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater [whose soul is devoted to any object that usurps the place of God], or is a person with a foul tongue [railing, abusing, reviling, slandering], or is a drunkard or a swindler or a robber. [No] you must not so much as eat with such a person.’

Some people just can’t seem to keep your name out of their mouths, or when they do speak about you, they only have negative things to say. They have no fruit to show for their own lives, yet they want to try to drag your name through the mud due to their own insecurities and short comings. These people will take one mistake from your past, label you, and try to define you by it for the rest of your life. They pretend to be so pious and upright, all they while doing and having already done much worse things that they believe they have buried and hidden from others. Hypocrites are what they are. Sometimes their motive for shutting you out is because they believe that YOU will expose them and all of those secrets they have been hiding. The truth is, you aren’t even thinking about them.

When God says, “Touch not my anointed”, He means it. Putting your mouth on them by speaking negatively against them is no different than physically touching them to cause harm. It’s better to be quiet than to experience God’s retaliation against you for making the mistake…… even if God’s representative does happen to be in the wrong. God is serious about His people.

Pray these prayers and declarations out loud.

FATHER IN THE NAME OF JESUS:

  1. Shut the mouth of every slanderer speaking ill against my name.
  2. Cut out the tongue of every evil voice speaking curses into my life and my generations.
  3. Father, while they are pouring salt on my name, I ask you to expose the secret sins of the self-righteous who are troubling my life and bring them to an open shame.
  4. Examine and bring into the light the motives of all those who speak ill of me.
  5. Remove all reproach from my life and transfer it back onto my enemies.
  6. Expose and embarrass every hypocrite in my environment that parades as a pious person who is “for” me.
  7. For those who rail against me, Father put them on the spot and demand that they produce the fruit that they criticize and wrongly judge in your people. Make them “put up or shut up”.
  8. Lord, make these boasters like Sodom and Gomorrah, desolate, and make them a prey. Let it be a reward for their pride because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the Lord of hosts. (Zephaniah 2:8-10 AMP)
  9. Since they love to curse, let it come back on them. Since they don’t bless, let it be far away from them. Since they love curses, let them seep inside of them and become like a belt around them. Let all this be the reward of my accusers and of those who speak evil against me. (Psalms 109:17-20 CEB)
  10. Lord, let them be ashamed and humiliated who find joy in my distress. They devise half-truths and lies against those who are quiet in the land. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves over me. (Psalms 35:20,26 AMP)
  11. Anywhere my name is being called for evil, blood of Jesus, answer for me and punish those evil voices.
  12. Father, cause those who are falsely accusing me of being an evildoer and reviling my right behavior in Christ to be ashamed for slandering my good life. (1 Peter 3:16 AMPC)
  13. Wound the heads of my enemies and oppressors who continue on in their trespasses against me. (Psalm 68:21 KJV)
  14. Smite them in the hinder parts and put them to a perpetual reproach. (Psalm 78:66 KJV)
  15. Punish the ungodly man who digs up evil and gossip and the perverse man who sows strife. (Proverbs 16:27-28 KJV)
  16. Lord, thank you that I am blessed when people insult, persecute, and speak evil things against me because of my association with you. I am joyful because as a result, my reward in heaven is huge! (Matthew 5:11-12 AMP)
  17. Lord, remind my enemies that revilers [whose words are used as weapons to abuse, insult, humiliate, intimidate, or slander], will neither inherit nor have any share in the Kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 AMP)

1 Chronicles 16:21-22 AMP  ‘He allowed no man to oppress or exploit them, And, He reproved and punished kings for their sakes, saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” ‘

Ephesians 4:29 AMPC  ‘ Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God’s favor) to those who hear it.’
