Isaiah 55:9 AMP ‘“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts higher than your thoughts. ‘
When God gives you an instruction, sometimes and most times, it just won’t make any sense to your natural mind. It is far more important to be obedient to the instruction being given rather than trying to figure out all of the details of the instruction. Remember that God sees the entire picture while our finite minds may only see or process parts or glimpses of that picture. Rather than questioning Him on all of the ‘ifs, ands, and whys’ it is far better to be uncomfortable in the obscurity and follow the instructions provided. That sounds easy enough, right? Initially, not so much. Following God’s instructions requires faith and trust in God and His way of doing things. It can take time to build your faith up to this level. Navigating this terrain becomes easier when you gain a better understanding of how God feels about you and what His motives are towards you, all of which can be found within His word. Quite frequently, your obedience is the trigger that mobilizes the next sequence of divinely orchestrated events.
Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP ‘Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].’
It doesn’t have to look perfect to be God. It doesn’t have to feel comfortable to be God. You don’t have to know all of the details and try to make sense of them in order for it to be God. Most times you won’t even receive a second instruction until you have followed the first instruction so stop spending time trying to make the first instruction make sense in order to increase your comfort level. Walking in the unknown can be uncomfortable because it is in direct conflict with our flesh and senses, but walking in disobedience is even more uncomfortable… and costly.
Now, follow that last instruction until God releases the new instruction.
