You don’t have to be labeled as “special” to be used by God. Anyone can be used by God if they make themselves available to Him. One way God accomplishes His plans and purposes in the earth realm is by utilizing people, regular people who say ‘yes’ to Him and His way of doing things. In the Bible, God even used the prostitute Rahab who chose to protect his spies that were sent in to scout out the land as a promised possession for his people. Incidentally, Rahab is actually included in the direct generational lineage of Jesus Christ (see Matthew chapter 1).
James 2:25 AMP In the same way, was Rahab the prostitute not justified by works too, when she received the [Hebrew] spies as guests and protected them, and sent them away [to escape] by a different route?
The caveat? God wants all the glory for Himself. He won’t share His glory with another so your act of submission to be used by God has to be selfless, originating from a heart with a pure motive to please the Father and not what you stand to gain as a result of obedience. God can use anyone and anything, including a talking donkey to oppose an errant prophet who was hired to curse the people of God (Numbers 22). All it takes is your agreement.
Say aloud, ‘Yes Lord, you can use me. I’m available.’
