About Dreams

Are you a dreamer?

Do you find yourself frequently having dreams and then pondering the meanings of those dreams? Our dreams can be literal, symbolic, or both at the same time. Quite frequently they are very symbolic in nature where one thing represents something or someone else. Sometimes God will use the image of a person you know or someone close to you to try to evoke an emotion, feeling, or attitude to coincide with the message He is trying to communicate to you.

Of course, you will be the only one who will have the most complete understanding of the feelings you have when you dreamt about your “Aunt Sally’s annual Thanksgiving visit” or of that old classmate from your elementary school. This information is important and can contain clues to help you decipher the message you are receiving.

‘And it shall be in the last days ,’ says God, ‘That I will pour out My Spirit upon all mankind ; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see [divinely prompted] visions, And your old men shall dream [divinely prompted] dreams ;

Where do dreams originate?
Our dreams can originate from one of three places: The Kingdom of God, The Kingdom of Darkness, or our own soul realm (our mind, will, and emotions). Discerning where the dream came from is important as it will determine what type of action you need to take next (if any).

I received my dream interpretation. Now what do I do?
Sometimes the nature of our dreams requires us to only take notice and pray. Sometimes they require action on our part. At other times they require both prayer and action. God knows each one of us personally whether we know Him or not. He speaks to each of us differently and specifically based on our personalities, life experiences, likes, dislikes, careers, hobbies, and through any myriad of things that we can relate to personally. He also speaks in ways that are perplexing where we don’t quite understand. Those dreams will require additional time searching, pondering and praying.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part [for our knowledge is fragmentary and
incomplete].

The final interpretation lies with the dreamer.
Dream interpretation is a collaborative effort. I may ask you questions regarding your dreams to help us decipher the veiled messages. All dreams will be interpreted in line with Biblical underpinnings along with personal revelatory insight. Sometimes you may not fully agree with the interpretation you receive and that is okay. Dreams are so personal in nature that it can be difficult for anyone outside of you to grasp the full understanding of the dream no matter how skilled they are. Therefore, I allow the dreamer to have the “last word” on any interpretation given.

Disclaimer:
We should not depend solely on dreams to make life decisions. Although dreams can provide great insight to life’s situations, I suggest that you implement additional safeguards before taking action. Prayerful consideration is of utmost importance. There is also value in obtaining wise counsel from a trusted associate (if necessary). Quite frequently the deciphered interpretation I provide will be a CONFIRMATION of what you already believe to be true, or a CONFIRMATION of something you believe God has been trying to impress upon your understanding.
