Matthew 18:12-13 NIV ‘ “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. ‘
God is looking for you. You are on His radar. Did you meander away because things of the world became more interesting to you than God? Were you enticed away? Seduced away? Did you run away? Or did you just become angry or frustrated and give up on Him? It matters not. What does matter is that God wants you back. He is not willing that any should be lost of those who belong to Him. He isn’t willing to give up on you without a fight. He is sending in His search and rescue party to locate you and bring you back to safety. It doesn’t matter where you have been or how long you have been gone. It doesn’t even matter what you have done. He will forgive you and accept you back, no questions asked. Now that is a stellar deal!
During these perilous times, it is very important to walk circumspectly with God; very straight, very close, alert, and cautious. We are living in different times now and the hearts of people are changing. The world is changing, and not for the better. Your safety and protection are of the utmost importance to God and if you have wandered off, you have voluntarily removed yourself from His obligatory, protective care. That leaves you as a target in dangerous territory for the enemy. The enemy has lots of tricks and traps that he would love to use in an attempt to lure and destroy you. Not to mention, there will be additional, serious disturbances that are coming upon the earth. Now is not a time to be straying away and walking down an alternative pathway that God never ordained for you. It is always more comfortable to be in right standing with God before catastrophic things occur.
God is loving, patient, protective, and merciful. He will go through great lengths just to find you and bring you back to the fold. He is tugging on your heart strings. No matter how far off you have wandered, He is always one step back and He is waiting, just for you! Don’t delay.
PRAYER OF REPENTANCE:
“Father, I repent for turning my back on you, wandering off, and entangling myself in worldly pursuits. I return to you with my whole heart. I ask you to please forgive me and receive me back as your son/daughter. It is in Jesus name that I pray, amen.”
Jeremiah 3:22 KJV ‘Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God. ‘
