One day while working in 2022, I specifically heard the Lord say, “Tell them I said pick your TWIX”. For anyone unfamiliar with what a TWIX is, it is a well known, two-piece candy bar sold in America (although it may be sold in other countries as well). The two pieces look exactly alike but one side is “covered” in chocolate and the other side is “cloaked” in chocolate. The commercials were actually quite cute and gave me a chuckle. This command from the Lord also coincided with something I had been asked by a “customer” at work a year prior to that in 2021: “What has God been speaking to you about lately?” My response was that “God was drawing a dividing line between the righteous and the wicked and His judgement was going to be falling on the wicked.”
God communicates messages however He chooses. Although the subject matter is quite serious, I had a gut-busting laugh at the way in which He chose to say this. It was clear to me that He was and has been actively dividing the sheep from goats, Believers from non-Believers and that is in no way funny. God does nothing arbitrarily; He is doing this for a specific purpose. He is making a clear distinction between the two groups.
Malachi 3:16-18 NIV ‘Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. “On the day when I act,” says the Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.’
I lovingly (and laughingly) remember instructing everyone to choose the “right TWIX”. Choose the correct side; the Kingdom of God. The side that comes with eternal life and blessings both here on earth, and in the afterlife. The other side comes with torment and punishment, both here on earth and in the afterlife.
God says what He means the first time. When He says something twice, you best believe it is coming and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. Nothing. You can choose not to believe it but that doesn’t negate the fact that the action will still occur whether you agree with it or not. Choose now. Stand behind that choice. Consequences will accompany it.
Psalms 62:11-12 CEB ‘God has spoken one thing— make it two things— that I myself have heard: that strength belongs to God, and faithful love comes from you, my Lord— and that you will repay everyone according to their deeds.’
